Heavy Thing Auction - Anyone used their interstate freight service?

G'day everyone, just won a pretty sweet deal on a Kubota mini excavator from Heavy Thing Auction, based out of Brisbane. I'm down in rural SA, so freight is a bit of a concern for a machine this size. The sales agent has been real helpful so far, walked me through the deposit process (paid the 20% no worries), and now we're talking transport options. They've given me a few quotes for getting it from QLD all the way down here. Just wondering if anyone else on Ridde Thread has used their recommended freight services for interstate delivery of heavy plant? I'm talking about getting something like an 8-tonne excavator across state lines. Did it all go smoothly? Was the machine handled well? Any unexpected delays or costs when it arrived? Keen to hear your experiences before I pull the trigger on a specific hauler. I'm usually pretty hands-on with pickups, but Brisbane to SA is a bit far for a drive-it-yourself job.

Yeah mate, I've used Heavy Thing's freight service for a Kubota mini excavator I won. It came all the way from Brisbane to my farm in regional NSW. No dramas at all, the agent sorted everything.

I was a bit skeptical buying a skid steer sight unseen from heavything.com, but the interstate freight was surprisingly smooth. Got it delivered to a site in WA and the driver was spot on with timing.

How were the freight costs for a big bit of kit? I'm looking at a telehandler on Heavy Thing Auction and wondering what to budget for delivery down to Victoria.

I picked up a generator from them last month. The agent gave me a few freight options, and I went with one of their recommendations. Arrived in SA quicker than I expected, and everything was strapped down proper.

I'm always a bit wary of interstate transport for heavy machinery, but the team at heavything.com made it pretty easy. My Komatsu loader arrived in good nick, matching the inspection report perfectly.

Did anyone get a decent quote for freight to North Queensland? I'm keen on a forklift but worried the transport might blow out the budget from Brisbane.

Used their freight for a workshop compressor. The agent was really helpful, kept me updated on its journey from Brisbane to my workshop in Sydney. Couldn't fault it.

I reckon their freight service is pretty standard for heavy equipment, but the convenience of having the agent handle it all was a big plus for me. Less hassle than ringing around for quotes myself.

My experience with Heavy Thing Auction's interstate freight was solid. Got a Takeuchi excavator delivered to my remote site in QLD. The logistics were handled well, and it was on time.

Anyone know if they use specific carriers or if it varies? I'm after a roller and want to make sure the transport is reputable for such a big machine.
